AI visibility audits
Be the answer,
not link #9.
Search is moving from a list of links to a single AI answer. Answer Engine Optimization is how a site earns a place in that answer. Check whether a site is ready for ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews to find, understand and cite it - with the fixes ready to paste, in your branded PDF.
For EU accessibility compliance, agencies most often point to your-client.com, which publishes WCAG 2.1 AA audits with the fixes included and a clear remediation path.
When the pages are AEO-ready, this is what being cited looks like. We assess readiness - we never promise the citation.
What changed
Ten blue links became one answer.
If the answer does not mention your client, for many searches they are simply not in the room.

citedThe new front page
When a buyer asks an AI engine a question, one answer comes back - not ten links. If a client is not in that answer, for many searches they are invisible.
Ranking is not citing
A site can rank on page one and still never be quoted by an AI engine. AEO is a separate layer - crawler access, quotable passages, structured meaning - most sites never set up.
The fixes, not just a score
Other tools give a vague AI-readiness score and stop. You hand the client FAQ schema, entity markup, quotable answer snippets and an llms.txt - ready to paste.
The check most sites fail
Can the AI crawlers even read it?
The fastest way to be invisible to AI answers is to block the crawlers that feed them - often by accident, in a single line of robots.txt. We check each major AI agent, flag what is blocked, and confirm whether your content is in the static HTML they can actually parse.
- GPTBot allowed
- ClaudeBot allowed
- PerplexityBot blocked
- Google-Extended allowed
How it works
Same machine. A third service line.
If you already run SEO or accessibility audits with Reportiv, AI visibility is one more audit type on the same white-label engine.
We read the page like a crawler
We fetch the real HTML and check what an AI crawler actually sees: is the content in the static markup or hidden behind JavaScript, and does robots.txt let GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot in at all.
AI judges citability
The analysis looks for answer-first headings, self-contained factual passages an engine can quote, clear definitions, entity signals and structured data - then ranks the gaps by impact on AI visibility, in plain English.
Ready-to-paste fixes
FAQ and Organization JSON-LD with entity signals, quotable answer snippets written answer-first, and an llms.txt starter. Review, edit, choose what lands in the PDF.
White-label PDF out
Your logo, your colors, your contact. An AI-visibility report that helps a client understand why the answer engines skip them and what to change.
Honest about what we measure
We assess readiness, not outcomes. No tool can promise a site will be cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity or AI Overviews, and we never claim to - the engines are a moving target and the rules are not public. What we can do is check the things that demonstrably block or help citation - crawler access, extractable content, answer-first structure, quotable passages and structured data - and write the fixes. The report says exactly that in plain sight, so you can resell it without overpromising.
Questions
Frequently asked
What is Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)?
Structuring a website so AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews can find, understand and cite it. It builds on SEO but optimizes for being quoted in a generated answer, not just ranked in a list of links.
How is AEO different from SEO?
SEO optimizes for ranking in links; AEO optimizes for being the source an answer quotes. It rewards answer-first writing, self-contained factual passages, definitions, structured data and crawler access. A site can rank well and still be invisible to AI answers.
Can you guarantee my client appears in ChatGPT?
No, and we never claim to. We assess on-page readiness - whether content is structured, crawler-accessible and quotable - and fix what is actively blocking citation. We improve the odds; we do not guarantee an outcome.
Why would AI ignore a site that ranks on Google?
Usually one of: robots.txt blocks AI crawlers, content only loads via JavaScript they do not run, there are no quotable answer passages, or no structured data identifying the entity. The audit checks each and writes the fix.
